Sustainable Vegetable Gardening - A 6-Week Adult Ed Course

Did you know that our Mediterranean climate is perfect for year-round gardens? Join Master Gardener Candace Simpson for a six-week series about sustainable vegetable gardening. Learn how to grow a successful, environmentally responsible food garden that produces delicious vegetables every month of the year.
Topics include soil preparation, compost, mulching, and fertilizers; irrigation; working with seeds and seedlings; requirements of specific vegetables grown in different seasons; varieties that do well in our area; and how to identify and manage common pests, weeds, and diseases.
