The Soil's the Secret

The key to a successful garden is soil preparation appropriate to the plants you plan to grow.  This workshop will discuss how to support the soil ecosystem and physical structure that will ensure the health of your plants.   Learn about soil amendments, fertilizers, and mulches for ornamentals and vegetables from Master Gardener Candace Simpson.  Topics include: cover crops to improve soil, fertility and texture; and proper digging technique to keep soil healthy.

The workshop starts at 10 a.m. and is followed by demonstrations in the garden.
